Question – D&D Fat Cat Performance
I have a 2007 Ultra Classic and I'm going to build it to 103. What are the different exhaust pipe models available, I have heard there is a quieter model, regular and more open for maybe racing? If so, what is the difference in performance in the quieter one and regular.
- Bruce McDonald
Answer:
Our performance pipes include the Fat Cat and Boarzilla 2 into 1 exhaust pipe systems. The Fat Cat is good up to 117 CI. when using stock head configurations, 1 3/4" exhaust ports. The standard baffle provides the best low end torque.
Quiet baffles are available for all Fat Cat systems. Enthusiasts have reported that they have increased the HP and torque by a few numbers after installing the new quiet baffle and the sound is reduced approx 50% over all.
When installing a new Fat Cat system utilize Race Tuners, Power Commanders, Factory Downloads or Zippers ECU units. They have all been tested on our dyno and have shown superior results.
