Bandit from Bikernet.com reported in on the initial D&D/Zippers install today. Bandit was ecstatic about seeing the dyno run.
Wild results!!! Like Gene said,
For $1,600 you get a new big inch engine.
We dyno'd the bike in the morning for 80 pounds of torque from 3000 to 3500 and 69 horses at only 6000 RPM.
With your kit in place the bike did 79 pounds of torque from 2800 rpm to 5500 rpm and 83 horses at 5750 RPM.
It was amazing. At some RPMs there was a 20 horse and 20 pounds of torque difference between the original set up and the new job. I think there's some fine tuning ahead for even more gains.
This is the Kit that Bandit is referring to. Click here for the D&D / Zipper's kit and to get all the details.
Select any pipe for a Harley Delphi ECM fuel injected bike, which includes Softails, Dynas, Sportsters and FLH/FLTs and D&D will package a Zippers Performance ThunderMax tuner, a high flow air cleaner and deliver a 10% discount off the package price.
I'm flying back east to see the new Indians on Tuesday, but I'll attempt to have this tech posted by the end of the week. I'll also make it available to some magazines.
Over the next month we will be reporting on 3 tech tips utilizing the D&D pipes and Zipper's tuner. As soon as they come in we will post them in the news section.
