D&D Rides With 2009 Top 10 Production Bike

What qualifies a production motorcycle to be featured in the VTwin Magazine Top 10 Production Bikes list? For starters it has to be currently available for purchase through a dealer or from the factory, but that's pretty obvious. More importantly, we select motorcycles that we feel are relevant to riders and their needs.
As fewer brands have been able to survive today's challenging economy, you will notice that the playing field has significantly narrowed. Gone are the "me too" manufacturers, quick to jump on the newest trends, always big on branding, marketing, celebrity spokespersons and flashy logos.
