Chris Carr Helps a Brother Out... with a D&D Performance Pipe

Note: This is another story about Chris Carr. He provided the CW Flat Track Team with a low-slung D&D pipe.

TEAM CW DIRT-TRACK MECHANIC: CHRIS CARR

Seven-time Grand National Champion and fastest man to ever ride a motorcycle-367.382 mph-watched me unload the semi-official Cycle World Honda CRF450R from the van at Yavapai Downs Fair Grounds, a beautiful mile-long dirt track near Prescott, Arizona, where I was about to try to qualify for my first AMA Pro-Singles mile dirt-track race ever. Not to mention ride my first mile ever...

"You're not racing with that stock pipe," CC flatly stated.

"Yeah I am, it's all I got, it'll be okay!" I replied.
"I got something way better than okay... come on."

With that, Carr unlocked a storage box beneath his team transporter (with the key he got from crew chief Kenny Tolbert), to reveal a simply beautiful low-slung exhaust pipe D&D makes specifically for dirt-track. Next thing I know, Tolbert and Carr are behind the CW van bolting that sweet piece of steel to my beloved 2010 CRF450R.

Suddenly the C-dub CRF has a bark to match its bite--I could actually hear my own bike above the others--also a bunch more full-speed-ahead with the throttle wide open-- where you spend  most of your time, I was shortly to learn, when racing a Mile. So thanks again to CC, D&D and Kenny Tolbert for looking out for me. Things were beginning to look up. More to come...
